Random thoughts ...

I've been wanting to post for over a week - no time to write one ...

1. Cohen knows like 3 signs - more, eat, all done. I love it ... but I also wish he'd use his words ... not "UGHHHHHHHHHHHHH ... or AGHHHHHHHHHHh"

2. He just walked across the family room, turned around and headed back the other way. I think he's finally going to do it. I'm kinda sad.

3. I took him to the Dr for his 1 yr appt today - it was the wrong day. Gotta hate that.

4. Why does Cameron slide across the floor and ruin his adorable Osh Kosh running pants?!

5. Rudy isn't better ...

6. Natalie's baby will be here in 5 weeks ... I need to start the blanket.

7. Austin is working all night tonight and out of town Saturday and Sunday. That stinks.

8...gotta go, Cohen is walking over to the back door and nearly opening it - who invented lever door handles? No wonder I haven't posted.

Whew ....

It's not often that you have a baby shower, a funeral and a first birthday party in one week. But that's our week in a nutshell...

First we celebrated baby Abigail Peyton Bruner. Natalie and David will be welcoming their little baby girl in the next few months and we had a big party to celebrate!

Then ... we had Memaw's funeral. She passed away on Friday night. It's so hard to believe that she is not with us anymore - but we are SO very thankful that she went quickly and she lived a long, full, happy life. We love you Memaw...

THEN ... a few days later - we had Cohen's first birthday party!!! For months, I've been dreading the day. For some reason, when it finally got here, I was actually ok with it (possibly exhaustion?!?!) I'll have to give him a proper post for his big day - but here's a cute pic of him with his favorite present!

Oh ... and yesterday Rudy slipped on the hard wood floor. Most likely he'll be needing ACL surgery - he's at the vet getting x-rays now. Never a dull moment ;)
