When I accept my Mother-Of-The-Year award.
I laid Cohen down on Kennedy's bed for FIVE seconds today (BETWEEN the two guard rails) ... and, you guessed it, THUMP - he fell right onto the floor!!! Somehow he got himself all turned around and wiggled down to the end of the bed and then right off! Man did I feel like crap. Although I'm a firm believer that every kid falls off of the bed at one point - Cameron's was while we was still sleeping in bed with us.
So then, I was fixing dinner and Cohen needed a bottle. Kennedy asked if she could feed him - I thought it was a great idea! UNTIL he wiggled off of her lap and ended up between the coffee table and the couch!
At least there was no blood ...

On Sunday, Cameron and Kennedy had 35 of their favorite friends at the pumpkin patch to help celebrate their 6th and 4th birthdays! My gosh - that's a lot of kids, but everyone had a ball!

So ... we were in the car, ALL packed up to go to the concert in GORGEOUS San Diego, California!
My phone rings ... "We are on our way to urgent care". Kennedy was showing off her latest Hannah Montana moves and landed right on the limestone hearth. CRACK. Luckily - Natalie was awesome, packed everyone up and got Kennedy right where she needed to be. We spent the next 3 hours on the phone back and forth, until Kennedy was finally done. Thirteen stitches later and NOT ONE TEAR! She didn't even fuss. She is SUCH a trooper ... I'm sure I was way worse than she was :) (I shed A LOT of tears!)
So - I try to enjoy what's left of the pre-party in the parking lot. These girls were so much fun to be around ... especially in a crisis!
I had to pose with my hubby by this gorgeous sunset!
At the show, of course I enjoyed a few cocktails to help me relax a bit (hey, we WERE in Margaritaville)...it also lessened my awareness of where my cell phone was...Austin claims he heard it fall in the porta potty. I didn't hear a thing ... all I know is I'm thankful that Verizon had my replacement here today!
Friday we tried to leave the drama behind. With a view like this - who could have a care in the world? La Jolla is GORGEOUS!
I had no idea I'd be seeing seals that day!
Really??? I thought this was only on the Discovery Channel!

We enjoyed our evening out in San Diego - thanks for a GREAT time with new friends and old :)

In Margaritaville ...
You've got that right - I'm going to be MIA for a few days. Austin and I are travelling 2, 267 miles to San Diego (Chula Vista to be exact) to experience the Jimmy Buffett concert with our great friends Kim and Jeff and some of their HUGE parrothead friends (one of which has attended FIFTEEN Buffett concerts!) It's sure to be an experience - I hope to remember the majority of it ;) Of course there will be pics.
Please pray for the less fortunate ones that will be home with our munchkins ;) And our munchkins for that matter!
